5-Layer Fiesta


Easy 5-Layer dip that is perfect for any fiesta. Black bean Hummus creates a hearty filling bottom layer. Guacamole enhances this dip with the right amount of lemon pepper, add some home-grown fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and topped with decadent vegan mozzarella, Volia! Your 5-Layer Fiesta is complete! Enjoy with tortilla chips of any size or shape or scoop some into a taco.


Fiesta Fiesta

5 awesome layers to get the party right! And so simple to make! This recipe could easily include vegan sour cream and a vegan meat crumble substitute for a mock 7-layer dip. Test your creativity and let us know your favorite mexican fiesta dip combination.

Black Bean Hummus*
1 15 oz can garbanzo beans, drained
2 15 oz cans black beans, drained
3 tbsp tahini
1 lemon, juiced
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp salt

2-3 ripe avocados
1 tbsp lemon pepper

2 small Roma tomatoes, diced
1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
1 bag Daiya mozzeralla cheese

Get cooking~
1) Blend all hummus ingridents in a food processor until creamy and smooth!
2) Mash avocado and lemon pepper together.
3) Dice and chop tomatoes and lettuce.
4) Assemble. Bean Hummus, Guac, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese.
5) Devour.

*Optional: If time is in a crunch, the bean hummus is optional. Vegetarian/Vegan refried beans exist in the canned goods world and makes an easy substitute.
