We of Thyme for Tofu are Taylor and Tori. We are twin sisters living the vegan lifestyle. The term vegan scares away a lot of people at first, they claim, “I could never do that,” and consider your eating habits to consist of plain lettuce and maybe carrots, i.e. rabbit food. “What do you eat?!” becomes a common phrase and you must have the same conversation about the moral ethics of and why you became vegan with everyone you meet.
We have created this blog to firstly help you make meals, snacks, and desserts that will excite your taste buds and your friends more so than plain ‘ol lettuce. Secondly, we want to spread the knowledge about being a vegan, no matter what your lifestyle and making it work for the sake of the animals, for the environment, and for your health.
Standing up for a cruelty-free world is what we believe in. We are reminded by one of the first animal right activists, Jeremy Bentham, that, “the question is not ‘Can they reason?’ or ‘Can they talk?’ but rather, ‘Can they suffer?’”.
We bring to you suffer-free food that is as divine as moral. Our goal is to share what we love and believe in with everyone: animal eaters and vegans alike, and have an impact in doing so, one meal at a time.
We are California natives who grew up in North Texas and now live in separate states during the college semesters (Texas and Oklahoma). More about Taylor: she studies Nursing in Oklahoma and is a soccer player! More about Tori: she is an interior design major and is great at all things art. 21 years young juggling life and responsibilities we look forward to this new chapter in our lives of sharing good wholesome food!
Message~ Live life living. We don’t fret with the details, ad libbing is a wonderful way to make meals and a wonderful way to live. Spend more time loving and believing in what you do.
